Stir-Fried Water Spinach

Stir-Fried Water Spinach
Serves: Ready In:


  • 450g water spinach
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 4 shallots, finely sliced
  • 2-3 garlic cloves, finely sliced
  • 1 tbsp rice wine
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • black pepper


  1. Heat 2 tbsp oil in a large pan or wok until hot, add the shallots and fry for 1 minute then add garlic and fry for a further 30 seconds.
  2. Add the spinach and fry for 2-3 minutes until it starts to wilt. Add the rice wine, oyster sauce and a couple of grinds of black pepper. Toss until mixed well and serve.
