Daikon is a type of radish that is popular in many Asian cuisines such as Chinese, Japanese and Korean. It is also commonly known as white radish, Japanese radish or Chinese radish, and has a sweet and lightly spicy flavour. Daikon can be thinly sliced and tossed into a salad, grated or cut into pieces for pickling, or cooked into a stew or soup until sweet and tender.
