Crown Pears are very round and have a pale yellow skin. Their flesh is sweet and juicy, and can be eaten raw as is or used for cooking. They can be sliced for fruit salads or slaws, and work well on a cheeseboard with other hard cheese, nuts and fruit. They can be used in muffins, cakes, and can be used as a substitute for apples in most recipes.
